The standalone GCP signer module pins gRPC v1.83.1, which Dependabot alert #20 identifies as affected by GHSA-2v4p-qf9q-27wj (CVE-2026-84445). Upgrade to the patched v1.83.2 and update the required x/net and x/text versions and module checksums.

The reported denial of service affects xDS servers. pdfsign's GCP signer makes outbound KMS requests and has no xDS server path, so this is a preventive dependency update for the next RC rather than a demonstrated pdfsign runtime vulnerability.

Validation, run explicitly in signers/gcp because it is a separate Go module:

  • Baseline and updated go test -race ./... pass, covering signing success and KMS error handling.
  • go build ./..., go vet ./..., go mod verify, and go mod tidy -diff pass.
  • go list -m selects gRPC v1.83.2, x/net v0.58.0, and x/text v0.41.0.
  • git diff --check passes.

No live GCP credentials or upstream xDS server reproduction were used. The repository's root CI does not exercise nested signer modules.

Addresses Dependabot alert #20.
