alsa utils:
   ./configure --with-curses=ncurses
On Lurga:
- insert USB memory stick.
% cd /data2/backup/churchplayer
% cd <most recent directory>
% tar -cvf /run/media/dsb/LIVE/cp.tar churchplayer
% umount /run/media/dsb/LIVE
(change  "LIVE" to name of USB memory pen)
Setting up churchplayer on Dell XPS:
- Insert Ubuntu CD (64 bit) and reboot. Select "Install Ubuntu" and proceed
  (select "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" for "Installation type")
  (select Username "euxton" password "Euxton" and "log in automatically")
- Reboot
- Install ubuntu updates (software updater should appear automatically
  after first boot).
- Click top left button, search for "Terminal" and start a gnome-terminal
- sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends gnome-panel
- gnome-desktop-item-edit Desktop --create-new
     - enter "Command" as "gnome-terminal" and "name" as "terminal"
- gnome-desktop-item-edit Desktop --create-new
     - enter "Command" as "gnome-desktop-item-edit Desktop --crwate-new" and "name" as "NewIcon"
- sudo visudo -f /etc/sudoers.d/myOverrides
  Add line: "euxton ALL=(ALL:ALL) NOPASSWD: /sbin/poweroff"
- sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
  Remove "quiet" from line: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
- sudo update-grub
- Edit /boot/grub/grub.cfg and remove all references to $vt_handoff
- restart
- Click on "system settings" icon (a gear wheel), then "personal" then
  "Security & privacy", uncheck "Waking from suspend" and "Returning
  from blank screen"
- Click on "system settings" icon (a gear wheel), then "personal" then
  "Brightness & lock", uncheck "Dim screen to save power" and set
  "Turn screen off..." to "never".
- Insert USB memory pen
- tar -xvf /media/euxton/LIVE/cp.tar
- Click top left icon, and search for "startup", active "startup applications":
  "Add",   name="ChurchPlayer", command="/home/exuton/churchplayer/runCP", "Close"
- chmod a+x churchplayer/runCP
- cd churchplayer
- sudo apt-get install tcsh
- sudo apt-get install libasound2-dev
- sudo apt-get install ncurses-dev
- sudo apt-get install gawk
- ./build
- sudo apt-get install fluidsynth
- sudo apt-get install python-dev
- install pip for python 2.7:
   wget --no-check-certificate http://pypi.python.org/packages/source/d/distribute/distribute-0.6.35.tar.gz
   tar xf distribute-0.6.35.tar.gz
   cd distribute-0.6.35
   sudo python2.7 setup.py install
   sudo easy_install-2.7 pip
   cd ..
   sudo rm -rf distribute-0.6.35
- install psutils package:
   sudo /usr/local/bin/pip install psutil
- Edit cpmusic.txt to refer to /home/euxton instead of /home/dsb
