- Pulleys are GT2-20 tooth.
- 16 tooth probably would have worked (sensorless homing value was the same).
- You should buy a fastener set.
- SIBOOR includes bearings, feet, magnets, springs, and clone bondtech bits for around the same price as Baiozraw which didn't.
- If you buy a fastener set, consider buying quality shim washers.
- I purchased both a Baiozraw and SIBOOR fastener sets and got stamped "shim washers" cupped far beyond tolerances.
- I was able to use a good set of flat pliers and "massage" a set of cupped washers to within acceptable shim tolerances, but YMMV.
- F623-ZZ bearings may rub your belts, creating dust dandruff debris around your idlers.
- I had both ZZ and RS bearings and a measurement audit showed the RS had "better" tolerances, and after re-belting with RS, it didn't rub anymore.
- 3M 5952 VHB tape should be the 3/4-inch variety if you don't want to be cutting a whole bunch.
- Bowden tube 4x3 is also known as "reverse bowden", and is used to allow slack for retraction.
- The listed Bowden Fittings are not required unless you are doing a bowden extruder (not direct drive with reverse bowden feed).
- If you get a batch of rails, the one with the most preload should be used for the X axis.
- Installing the thermal fuse for the bed along the (logical) rear edge may limit travel on Z with or without kirigami.
- The MiniSB toolhead has undocumented support for Adafruit Sequins used for nozzle illumination.
- Timmit99 has a neopixel compatible version: https://github.com/timmit99/Neopixel_Sequin
- Adafruit carries a 5-pack: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1758
- I soldered wire-wrap wire to 1210 SMD LEDs and used some clear heatshrink for retention, putting a resistor near the plug header.
- FLY Gemini v3; oh boy.
- The pinouts that were available on the Mellow3D GitHub are gone, because I filed and issue that they were incorrect and in response they took down the entire repo, seriously.
- The pinout svg that's in this repo was authored by me, with no feedback from Mellow, which is kinda sad.
- You may need to add step_pulse_duration: 0.000004 to resolve layer shifting...
- This is due a to a "bug" in the Mellow hardware.

I know some Mellow boards needed an explicit step_pulse_duration because the boards have a custom “level shifter” circuit that could not transition from high-to-low quickly if the line was left high for any significant duration. Otherwise, I’m not aware of any other boards having a systemic issue. - koconner

I just wanted to share with you my findings regarding the step_pulse_duration issue with klipper and the FLY protection. If you set your step_pulse_duration to 0.000004, you will never be able to run speed over 600mms with a 16microstepping. I was able to tune down to step_pulse_duration: 0.000001 with no drift on motors, and was then able to reach 1000mm/s. 🙂 I might try to go a bit smaller on pulse lenght and try to find the minimum we can use. But that might be useless. 1000mms is plenty enough unicorn speed haha - unknown

- Pg 30. Preload 3 for direct drive, 5 for bowden.
- Pg 53. Preload 2 M3 into the bottom channel if you're NOT using the 5V PSU, you'll need more for that part.
- Pg 155. You can coat a short M3 with vasaline to keep the nut retained while you glue it, this prevents glue seeping into threads.
