+## Updates from ii
+
+- The new DSL-based ETF test driver is complete and supports both service and metadata tests. It is currently running in a development version and is not yet in production.
+- The plan is to share the new DSL together with the test driver, once everything is published.
+- ii is working on new software intended to replace ETF, with a focus on multi-tenant capabilities and a cloud-native architecture supporting better scaling.
+- It is still unclear whether the new DSL and test driver will be integrated into ETF or only into the new software.
+- A release is planned within the next year, with a further update to be provided at the next SG meeting.

+## Updates from JRC
+
+### INSPIRE legal framework
+
+- Work on a new legal framework, with the goal of simplifying requirements, removing sources of complexity, and aligning with the EU Open Data policy. The expected timeline is end of October / November 2025.
+- A revision of the technical infrastructure may follow by the end of the year, based on the strategies (AI Directive, the Open Data Directive, and the Green Data Space strategy). It is expected to remain a revised INSPIRE Directive.
+- The Geoportal is probably replaced by an OpenGeoPortal.
+- Monitoring and reporting: The aim is for indicators to be simplified or removed once the new legal framework is in place, with the goal of introducing better indicators to measure the actual benefit of the infrastructure.

+### INSPIRE Validator
+
+- The future of the INSPIRE Validator is unclear: metadata tests are likely to remain (potentially relevant for AI), while data specification tests may be dropped. New tests may emerge to address AI-related requirements. Overall, the validator may no longer be needed if the legal requirements change such that Technical Guidelines are no longer required. The infrastructure is currently in a transition phase.
+- The release plan foresees one release per year; the 2025 release was published in July. An additional bugfix release is planned for October.
+- Work on OSGeoLive 17 is ongoing; ETF will be included in this new release.
+
+## Next meeting
+
+The next meeting will be in April / May 2026 to discuss the next steps.
