IP Range Calculator - VLSM and Subnet Planner

About

IP Range Calculator is a browser-based VLSM and subnet planning tool designed to demonstrate automatic IP range allocation using modern web technologies. The project uses vanilla JavaScript to calculate subnets directly in the browser, without requiring additional software installation or a dedicated backend for computation.

Note

IP Range Calculator provides two main input flows:

  • Base Network — Define the base network (e.g., 192.168.1.0/24).
  • Network Requirements — Add networks with the required host count for each.

The tool automatically allocates subnets using VLSM (Variable Length Subnet Masking) and displays the network address, subnet mask, usable host range, and broadcast address for each network.
