Proposal

Overview

Establish a standardized Python package infrastructure to prepare the project for development and distribution.

Motivation

The project currently lacks a proper Python package structure, making it impossible to perform modular development, run tests, or conduct type checking. Setting up a well-organized package structure is fundamental for maintainability and distributability.

Approach

• Adopt src/ layout for source code organization
• Use pyproject.toml to manage project metadata and dependencies
• Integrate pytest as the testing framework
• Integrate mypy for static type checking
