AssertionProfile Element

Michael Hallock edited this page Aug 31, 2016 · 1 revision

The <assertionProfile> element allows for setting an alternative validator for assertions that the system receives. This is useful when specific subsets of the SAML specification are specified by an organization, and validation beyond the standard SAML2 minimum is desired. The element exposes a single attribute, assertionValidator, which can be set to the full assembly qualified name of an alternative validator.

Below is an example, using the SAML2.Profiles.DKSAML20 assertion profile:

<saml2>
    ...
    <assertionProfile assertionValidator="SAML2.Profiles.DKSAML20.Validation.DKSaml20AssertionValidator, SAML2.Profiles.DKSAML20" />
    ...
</saml2>
