A major update focused on getting you set up right from the start, keeping Automata current automatically, and giving you far more ways to trigger your automations.

✨ New

• Onboarding & Permissions
  A brand new welcome flow walks you through the essential permissions on first launch, including Full Disk Access and notifications, so Automata is ready to go from the moment you open it.

• Automatic Updates
  Automata now checks for new versions in the background and shows an "Update Available" indicator when one's ready. Click it to see release notes and download progress, and Automata will install the update and relaunch itself automatically once it's done.

• New Triggers: On Login, On Wake, and Network Connected
  Automations aren't just Manual or Time-based anymore. Run something automatically when you log into your Mac, when it wakes from sleep, or the moment your network connection comes back online.

🎨 Improvements

• Cleaned up the Scheduling section in the Automation Editor with a single trigger picker and clearer descriptions for how each trigger behaves.

• Removed placeholder "Coming Soon" trigger pills now that they're real, working features.

• Raised the minimum supported macOS version to 14.0 (Sonoma) to support the new features in this release.

🐞 Fixes

• Fixed trigger description text not displaying correctly for non-Time triggers.

• General stability and reliability improvements across scheduling and the automation editor.

A big update with more reliable scheduling, a brand new Run History, improved settings, and a fresh new look across the app.

✨ New

• Reliable scheduling
  Scheduled automations now run even when Automata isn't open. The next time you launch the app, every completed run is automatically added to your history.

• Run History
  Keep track of every automation in one place. Browse previous runs, search through logs, filter by automation or status, and quickly see what succeeded or failed.

• Improved Settings
  Settings has been expanded with Launch at Login, run notifications, a default shell for scheduled automations, storage information, history management, and the option to reset the app.

• Pinned automations
  Pin your favorite automations to keep them at the top of your list for easy access.

🎨 Improvements

• Refreshed the sidebar with a cleaner layout and a dedicated New Automation button.

• Updated the Home page with a cleaner dashboard and improved stats.

• Polished the Automation Editor, Run History, and other parts of the app for a more consistent look and feel.

🐞 Fixes

• Fixed scheduled automations not running after changing their scheduled time.

• Fixed Run History not recording completed automations.

• Fixed the delete confirmation setting not being respected in some places.

• Removed duplicate New Automation buttons.

• Cleaned up the version number shown in Settings.
