Summary

Fixes graphify cache being committed to repository and changes knowledge graph updates to manual-only.

Changes

1. Updated .gitignore

  • Added .graphify/cache/ and graphify-out/cache/ exclusions
  • Added .graphify/.graphify_* metadata file exclusions

2. Fixed GitHub Actions Workflow

  • Manual trigger only - Removed automatic push trigger to avoid polluting git history
  • No cache commits - Removed git add .graphify/cache/
  • No cache in change detection - Removed cache from diff check

3. Cleaned Repository

  • Removed 246 tracked cache files (~7MB)

Why

  • Cache files are temporary - They're optimization files regenerated on each graphify run
  • Should never be committed - Causes repository bloat and potential merge conflicts
  • Knowledge graph updates should be intentional - Not automatic on every commit

How to Update Knowledge Graph

Manually run the "Update Knowledge Graph" workflow via GitHub Actions UI when needed.

Testing

  • Cache files removed from repository
  • .gitignore updated
  • Workflow changed to manual-only trigger
  • No co-authoring in commits

- Add .graphify/cache/ to .gitignore (and graphify-out/ variants)
- Remove 246 tracked cache files (~7MB) from repository
- Change workflow to manual-only trigger (avoid git history pollution)
- Remove cache from CI workflow commits and change detection

Why:
- Cache files are temporary optimization files, regenerated on each run
- Should never be committed (causes bloat, merge conflicts)
- Knowledge graph updates should be intentional, not automatic

fix: include all staged artifacts in change detection

Change detection was missing graph.html and cost.json, which are
staged by the commit step. This could cause changes to be silently
skipped if only those files were modified.
