Privacy Policy for OSMTracker for Android™

Data collection

OSMTracker collects the following data type:

• Precise location: when the user initiates GPS traces are recording action.
• OSM/GitHub username or email address: when the user initiates OSM/GitHub upload action.
• Photos/Sound recordings/Text notes: when the user initiates the recording action during a GPS trace recording.

Data is local to the Android device, accessed by OSMTracker for Android for on-device access/processing. Data is only transmitted to any third party under user-initiated action, as explained thereafter.

Data Sharing

OSMTracker shares collected data to a third party based on a specific user-initiated action, where the user reasonably expects the data to be shared. Data is uploaded associated with the corresponding account of the user to:

• OpenStreetMap when explicitly requested by the user via the "OSM Upload" feature (see OpenStreetMap Privacy Policy)
• GitHub when explicitly requested by the user via the "GitHub Upload" feature (see GitHub General Privacy Statement).
