Type

Addition

Changes

Adds amneziawg-installer to the Self-Hosted Network Security section, alongside PiVPN and Firezone.

amneziawg-installer is a one-command automated installer for AmneziaWG 2.0 VPN on Ubuntu and Debian servers. AmneziaWG is a WireGuard-based protocol with built-in traffic obfuscation that makes VPN traffic resistant to deep packet inspection (DPI) — designed for use in countries with internet censorship.

The entry is placed at the end of the Self-Hosted Network Security section.

Thanks @bivlked
But do you think instead using the main Amnezia repo would be better? (E.g. this one: https://github.com/amnezia-vpn/amnezia-client)

Since the repo here is basically just installer scripts for amnezia.org/self-hosted (unless I'm misunderstanding?)

Not quite — amnezia-client is a VPN client app (you install it on your phone/desktop to connect). This is a server-side tool — you run it on a VPS over SSH, it sets up the VPN server, firewall, the works.

Makes sense :)
But do you think we should ammend this entry to be the Amnezia project as a whole, instead of the Bash installer scripts?

Kind of the same as PiVPN vs "the WireGuard project" — this is just the server installer, Amnezia as a whole is much broader. Your call though.

I'd leave it as the installer. The Amnezia project itself is a VPN client app — the server setup is what the installer covers, and that's the self-hosted bit.

Hi @lissy93, rebased onto main to resolve the merge conflict — entry placement adjusted around the new Anonymity/Mix networks section heading, content unchanged (same 10-line addition). Happy to make further changes if needed.

Hi @lissy93, two weeks since the rebase. Repo's picked up a bit since then (+75 stars, two patch releases, cross-links from a couple of router-side AmneziaWG tools). If your earlier thought about amending the entry to the Amnezia project as a whole still stands, happy to close this and you can add the broader Amnezia entry instead. Or merge as-is, whatever's cleaner for the list. No pressure either way.
