Speech-language pathologist, linguist, and assistive technology engineer. I build tools for communication and accessibility, then occasionally get distracted by orbital mechanics.
My work follows a few recurring questions: how people communicate, how an interface gets in the way, and what becomes visible when you give a dataset room to move.
| Collection | What I make |
|---|---|
| Actually Useful AI | Language-model applications, coding plugins, and tools for more accessible software. |
| Data Poems | Interactive visualizations and the datasets behind them. |
| Ambient Time | Clocks, watch faces, and widgets. Time can look different. |
| One Impossible Thing | General software, useful experiments, and preserved earlier work. |
Communication and accessibility. WordBlocks explores augmentative and alternative communication through words and grammar. Accessibility Devkit provides code-level accessibility tools; Intentional UX examines the paths people take through a product. I also maintain Awesome Accessibility, a collection of resources and practical references.
Language and data. Diachronica explores word origins. Etymology Atlas collects linguistic relationships for further study. Data Poems turns datasets into interactive experiences, while Orrery gives the solar system considerably more screen time than a sensible scale would permit.
Tools for everyday work. Consensus compares research from multiple language models. Skymarshal explores Bluesky, with a public TypeScript toolkit. CiteWright finds paper metadata and renames research files, and Fileherder organizes scattered files.
Each repository has its own installation instructions and license. For a bug or a concrete improvement, start with that project's issue tracker. For a conversation about communication, accessibility, or collaboration, email me.
The README convention keeps descriptions, badges, and navigation consistent across these collections.
