OpenMOSS is a platform where multiple AI agents work automatically as a team. These agents plan, do tasks, check their work, and keep watch—all without needing help from a person. It runs on your Windows PC and helps you use smart AI teamwork easily.
The goal is to let AI handle complex jobs by working together smoothly. This can include things like managing projects, organizing data, or running certain automated tasks for you.
Before you download OpenMOSS, please make sure your PC meets these basic requirements:

- Processor: Intel Core i5 or equivalent
- Memory: At least 8 GB of RAM
- Storage: Minimum 500 MB free space
- Internet: Required for initial setup and updates

You can get the app from the official GitHub release page.

On the page that opens, look for the latest stable release. Find the Windows executable file. It usually ends in .exe. The filename might look like this: OpenMOSS-setup.exe or OpenMOSS-Windows-x64.exe.

If you see any security warnings from your browser, these are normal when downloading new software. You can proceed if you trust the source.
After you download the file, you are ready to install OpenMOSS.
Go to the folder where you downloaded the file. Double-click the .exe file to start the installer.
If Windows asks for permission to allow the program to make changes, click Yes.
The installer will ask you some simple questions:
- Choose the folder where you want to install OpenMOSS. The default is usually fine.
- Agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click Next to continue through the steps.
When the installer completes, it may ask if you want to run OpenMOSS immediately. You can choose to start it now or open it later from the Start Menu.
OpenMOSS runs as a desktop app. Here's how to get started:
Find OpenMOSS in your Start Menu or on your desktop if you created a shortcut. Click to open the program.
The first time you run OpenMOSS, it will guide you through a quick setup. This includes:
- Confirming your AI agent settings.
- Choosing task types for agents to manage.
- Setting preferences for notifications and updates.
Once set up, OpenMOSS will display a dashboard showing your AI agents and their activities. The agents will start planning tasks, working on them, checking results, and patrolling for any issues.
You can watch the agents’ progress or change settings at any time.
- Assign Tasks: Let the agents know what projects or jobs they should handle.
- Review Reports: Check what the AI agents accomplished and what they suggest next.
- Adjust Settings: Change how agents work, such as focus areas or rules.
- Update Software: Keep OpenMOSS up to date from the release page to improve performance and security.
- OpenMOSS won’t start: Make sure your computer meets the system requirements and the installation finished without errors. Try restarting your PC.
- Agents not working: Check your internet connection. OpenMOSS uses it to communicate with AI models.
- Installer blocked by Windows Defender: You can allow the program by clicking “More info” and then “Run anyway” on the security prompt.
- Running slowly: Ensure other heavy programs are closed and try restarting OpenMOSS.
Check the release page regularly for new versions. Download the latest setup file and repeat the installation steps to update. Your settings and data will stay intact.
