Updates gunicorn from 26.0.0 to 26.2.0

Release notes

Sourced from gunicorn's releases.

gunicorn 26.2.0

Cleartext HTTP/2 lands, and an HTTP/2 security fix.

Cleartext HTTP/2 (h2c)

http2_cleartext accepts prior-knowledge, upgrade, both or off (the default). Prior knowledge serves a connection that opens with the HTTP/2 preface; upgrade honours an HTTP/1.1 Upgrade: h2c request. Both work on the gthread, gevent and asgi workers.

This is for deployments where TLS is terminated by a proxy that speaks HTTP/2 upstream, so the hop into gunicorn no longer drops to HTTP/1.1. Only peers in forwarded_allow_ips are considered; everyone else is served HTTP/1.x exactly as if the setting were off. Each mechanism is enabled separately, so turning one on does not turn the other on.

Do not expose a cleartext HTTP/2 port to the internet.

Security

HTTP2Request built its headers straight from the stream, so nothing the HTTP/1 path enforces applied over HTTP/2: the underscore and header_map policy, duplicate Host and Content-Type, control characters in values, and the forwarded_allow_ips trust gate. An untrusted client could set SCRIPT_NAME and forge HTTP_* entries in the WSGI environ, and decide wsgi.url_scheme through :scheme. Both request classes now share one policy mixin, and the scheme comes from the transport.

If you serve HTTP/2, this is the reason to upgrade.

Other HTTP/2 fixes

WSGI responses were buffered whole before anything was sent; they stream now. HEAD, 204 and 304 no longer carry a body. Events read while blocked on a flow-control window were discarded, losing requests and body data outright. sendfile() is refused on HTTP/2 responses rather than bypassing framing.

Request bodies dropped on Upgrade requests

On the ASGI worker with the fast parser, any request carrying an Upgrade header reached the application with an empty body, whatever the header's value and with HTTP/2 switched off entirely. Fixed in gunicorn_h1c 0.6.9, which the fast extra now requires.

Updates posthog from 7.39.0 to 7.70.2

Release notes

Sourced from posthog's releases.

posthog-v7.70.2

Patch changes

posthog-v7.70.1

Patch changes

  • 10d094e Prompts.get() now makes one request when several threads ask for the same prompt at once, instead of one request per thread. The other threads wait for that result. With capture_errors=True, a shared failure is reported once instead of once per thread. — Thanks @jurajmajerik!

posthog-v7.70.0

Minor changes

  • 6916499 PostHogSpanProcessor now adds the active PostHog context to the AI spans it exports: the distinct ID from identify_context, the session ID from set_context_session (sent as $session_id), and context tags as properties. Spans started inside posthog.new_context() reach PostHog under the right person, so one process can trace many users. Tags set by the request middleware (for example email, $ip, $user_agent and $current_url) now appear on AI events too. Attributes already on a span are kept, and other processors on the provider never see the context. Apps already using PostHog contexts (for example the Django, Flask or ASGI request middleware) will see their AI events attributed to the context's person after upgrading. — Thanks @carlos-marchal-ph!

posthog-v7.69.0

Minor changes

  • 3cc2d64 client.metrics now attaches a trace exemplar to each series it flushes. A sample recorded inside a sampled span (a PostHog start_span span, or the current OpenTelemetry span) stamps its data point with that span's trace ID, span ID, and value, so metric charts can link to a representative trace. One exemplar per series per flush window; the last sample wins. — Thanks @DanielVisca!

posthog-v7.68.0

Minor changes

  • 2f0d67d Align ASGI, Flask, and Django request integration configuration. ASGI and Flask now default to inheriting the effective client's exception-autocapture setting, with explicit capture overrides and context-only operation. Flask and Django require opt-in to accept PostHog tracing identity/session headers. Django adds property-named settings and extraction methods while preserving legacy aliases and its historical capture default; setting POSTHOG_MW_CAPTURE_EXCEPTIONS to None enables client inheritance. Document client routing, request-filter semantics, and event enrichment independently of error tracking. — Thanks @hpouillot!

posthog-v7.67.1

Patch changes

  • a3bd254 Set $mcp_interface to mcp on events from MCP servers. — Thanks @gesh!

posthog-v7.67.0

Minor changes

  • 9baf8a5 Add a Django REST Framework error-only exception handler that captures handled 5xx API exceptions while preserving DRF responses, leaves expected 4xx errors excluded by default, and consistently inherits Django middleware, client, request-filter, and exception-autocapture configuration. — Thanks @hpouillot!

posthog-v7.66.0

Minor changes

  • 127009d Add resolve_original_tool for low-level MCP servers. Fresh server instances can now remove PostHog-owned arguments before strict tool validation.

Raw low-level servers also remove PostHog-owned arguments after tools/list. A tool-owned context remains tool data. — Thanks @gesh!

  • 1c6a47a Add framework-independent ASGI middleware for automatic request context and unhandled exception capture, supporting FastAPI, Starlette, Litestar, WebSockets, sync or async filters, additional request properties, and opt-in PostHog tracing headers without requiring a framework dependency. — Thanks @hpouillot!

  • 292855d Add a Flask integration that creates isolated request contexts, attaches safe request metadata and tracing identity, and automatically captures unhandled application exceptions without changing Flask's error behavior. — Thanks @hpouillot!

posthog-v7.65.0

Minor changes

  • 6d6cc3d Standardize exception capture metadata, including severity, capture source, typed integration metadata, mechanism semantics, bounded exception-group traversal, and deterministic cause linkage. Application overrides of reserved exception properties remain supported during a deprecation period, emit a warning, and will be removed in the next major version. — Thanks @hpouillot!

Updates idna from 3.18 to 3.20

Release notes

Sourced from idna's releases.

v3.20

  • Update to Unicode 18.0.0.
  • Better enforcement of the domain length limit in the incremental codec.
  • Add support for Python 3.15.

v3.19

  • Restore the std3_rules option, which had no effect since changes to UTS #46 processing in Unicode 16. Note that uts46_remap() defaults to enabling STD3 rules, so direct callers will see input containing non-LDH ASCII characters rejected again.
  • Performance improvements to UTS #46 mapping, particularly for ASCII-only domains.
  • Test on free-threaded CPython with the GIL disabled and document thread safety.
  • Expose the Unicode version of the generated tables as idna.unicode_version, and show it in idna --version.
  • Add code, text, codepoint and position attributes to IDNAError so that the failed rule and the offending character can be identified without parsing the exception message.
  • The deprecated transitional argument to encode() and uts46_remap() is now completely ignored, and gives a deprecation warning for the latter.
  • Reject A-labels that are not the canonical Punycode encoding of their U-label.
  • Fix CONTEXTJ violations raising IDNAError instead of InvalidCodepointContext.
  • Consistently raise IDNAError for empty labels and non-ASCII bytes passed to label helper functions and the incremental codec.
  • Add property-based tests, extended fuzzing targets, coverage measurement, and CI checks that the data tables match the generator output.
  • Various code quality and tooling improvements.

Thanks to stefan6419846, LouieLuNZ, and Salvatore Corvaglia for contributions to this release.

Updates black from 26.5.1 to 26.10.1

Release notes

Sourced from black's releases.

26.10.1

Highlights

This release fixes a security issue in Black's bundled GitHub Action. Repositories that use the action are encouraged to update to the latest version of Black immediately. This update is received automatically when using psf/black@stable, and is independent of the version of Black installed by the action.

When the GitHub Action reads version specifiers from tool.black.required-version, it now only accepts released versions of Black, as it already did for black requirements in dependency lists. Other values, such as URL references, are now rejected. This issue has been registered as GHSA-cg8m-r9f2-5wm2; a CVE identifier is pending.

Stable style

  • Fix a long Jupyter notebook assignment magic (for example x = !ls -la) being wrapped in parentheses, which IPython can no longer run; such cells are now left unchanged (#5481)
  • Keep repeated lines outside the selected --line-ranges unchanged (#5436)
  • Fix --line-ranges formatting lines that follow a statement when formatting joins or re-indents that statement (#5484)
  • Fix --line-ranges crashing with an internal error when an unselected statement has a # fmt: skip comment on the last line before a closing bracket (#5477)
  • Prevent moving an encoding declaration (for example # -*- coding: latin-1 -*-) onto the first two lines of a file (#5487)
  • Fix adding an extra trailing blank line inside a multi-line module docstring when its last line is near the line length limit (#5494)

Preview style

  • Do not split short expressions on delimiters (such as binary operators, comparisons, or comprehensions) inside brackets when preceded by a standalone comment (#5455)
  • Fix the unstable string_processing feature removing backslash-newline sequences from raw strings, which changed their value (#5482)
  • Avoid adding unnecessary parentheses around unbreakable right-hand side expressions in assignments (such as annotated assignments or subscript targets) (#5473)
  • Parenthesize expressions with parameter comments when they exceed the line length under --preview (#5442)
  • Fix wrap_long_dict_values_in_parens dropping the parentheses around a right-hand side that contains a dictionary, leaving a line over the length limit (#5492)
  • Fix the unstable string_processing feature adding a space after * or ** in a PEP 695 type parameter (* Ts = ...) when it splits a string in the parameter's default (#5504)
  • Avoid unnecessary line splits of trailers (such as indexing/subscripts) when an earlier bracket split exceeds the line length only due to a trailing comment (#5498)

Configuration

  • Add --cache-dir to configure the cache directory from the command line (#5433)
  • Don't cache a file as formatted after formatting or checking it with --line-ranges,
