…led otherwise The first run of the new configuration (#249) opened 29 pull requests at once, 20 of them majors (tailwind 4, eslint 10, typescript 7, vitest 5, redis 8, reportlab 5, ...), whose CI runs queued ahead of main's own CI and deploy. Why
The first run of the Dependabot configuration from #249 opened 29 pull requests at once (#254–#282), 20 of them majors (tailwind 3→4, eslint 8/9→10, typescript 5→7, vitest 4→5, redis 5→8, reportlab 4→5, lucide-react 0.3→1.57, …). Their CI runs (11 e2e shards each) queued ahead of main's CI, so the #249 deploy waited 35 minutes. The coordinator cancelled those runs; the PRs are still open.
What
ignore: dependency-name: "*", update-types: ["version-update:semver-major"]on every npm and pip entry. github-actions is untouched (its "majors" are SHA pins to the next tag and are wanted).How verified

None at runtime. Majors stop arriving as PRs until the block is removed.
