Sessions and nested chats can be renamed inline from the Sessions list by using the context menu, double-clicking the title row, or pressing F2. Enter confirms the new title and Escape cancels it.
Why the docs need an update
docs/agents/run/sessions/manage-sessions.md only mentions renaming a chat from its tab context menu and does not cover renaming sessions or inline editing in the Sessions list.
