Autocomplete isn't compatible with on-screen keyboard in Ubuntu Touch

Autocomplete in the title bar can sometime mess with On-Screen-Keyboard, and predictive input inside the keyboard. It is the case for example on Ubuntu Touch. It would be extremely useful to be able to disable it in the settings page.

Do you know what would be required to address the underlying issue? Other mobile browsers have working URL autocomplete, so it seems like we should try to achieve that too.

This does not happen in the inputs within the HTML page, but in the TitleBar/URLbar of Min Browser. Can I apply this same thing to this URL bar?

Yeah - you can edit this: https://github.com/minbrowser/min/blob/master/index.html#L139 and then start Min using the development instructions in the readme.

No this does not improve anything, I really need to disable browser autocomplete

I've found a hack that solves the problem:

By the way I will apply temporarily a serie of small patches to improve integration in Ubuntu Touch, in particular a patch that improves integration with ContentHub ( the Ubuntu Touch system to share files between applications).
