Warning

This cookbook repository is under active development. Major changes to the structure of this repository and its content are expected. We are striving to develop content and code that is well-tested and peer-reviewed, but nothing contained here should be expected to work correctly (or at all!) in this early phase. Many sections contain only an outline of the content. These sections will have content added at the project develops.

Level of Support

  • This repository is fully supported by NSIDC. If you discover any problems or bugs, please submit an Issue. If you would like to contribute to this repository, you may fork the repository and submit a pull request.

See the LICENSE for details on permissions and warranties. Please contact nsidc@nsidc.org for more information.

The How-To guides and Tutorials require Python 3.? or greater. In general, guides and tutorials use packages widely used in the Earth sciences and in data science. These include but are not limited to:

How-To Guides and Tutorials do not need to be installed. How-To Guides are intended to be example code snippets that can be copied into your own scripts as-is or modified. Tutorials are meant as stand alone notebooks. Most tutorials have binder links.
