🚀 Enhanced Real-Time Stock Dashboard with Validation and Error Handling
🔧 Summary
-Enhanced the real-time stock dashboard by improving data validation and reliability using the Yahoo Finance API.
-Added ticker symbol validation to check whether the symbol exists or is delisted before fetching data.
-Improved data fetching reliability by using the yf.Ticker() object instead of directly downloading data.
-Ensured dashboard displays data only if the ticker is valid.
-Enhanced error handling to provide clear messages when the ticker is not found or is delisted.
💡 Why This Change Was Made
The previous approach did not verify whether a ticker symbol existed, resulting in confusing error messages when invalid or delisted tickers were entered.
By using yf.Ticker(), the dashboard now consistently retrieves accurate data, improving user experience.
-upgrade the Yahoo Finance API using the following command:
pip install --upgrade yfinance
