Based on your comment #45 (comment), this PR adds the GNU General Public License v3 (GPLv3) to the repository.

Key Points:

Ensures that modified versions remain open-source, preferably hosted on GitHub.
Allows preprogrammed boards while recommending users download UF2 files from this repo.
Provides legal clarity for contributions and usage.

The license file is added as LICENSE in the root directory.
