A malicious WebSocket server can stream a large number of small or empty continuation frames. Undici enforced a limit on cumulative payload size but did not limit the number of fragments per message, leading to unbounded memory growth and denial of service. All releases from 6.17.0 onward are affected.

• Affected: applications using new WebSocket(...) or WebSocketStream against untrusted endpoints.
• Workaround: none — upgrade is required.

yarn --immutable fails with YN0028 on every job: the lockfile adds undici: "npm:6.27.0" as a direct dependency of the workspace and portal entries, but package.json does not declare undici, so yarn strips it back out. Known Dependabot behaviour with Yarn Berry.

undici 6.x is only reached through node-gyp@latest (yarn injects it for fsevents), so this is dev only, but master still resolves 6.26.0 and 6.27.0 fixes CVE-2026-12151. The right change is re-resolving the undici@npm:^6.25.0 entry to 6.27.0 in the lockfile, no package.json change.
