Summary of Changes

Hello @dlabrecq, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request streamlines the dependency management process by consolidating the "check:dependencies" and "check:dependencies:all" scripts into a single, unified "check:dependencies" command. This change simplifies how developers check for outdated dependencies across the entire project, including all workspaces, ensuring a more consistent and efficient workflow.

Highlights

  • Consolidated Dependency Checks: The "check:dependencies" script has been updated to now perform dependency checks across both the root project and all associated workspaces, eliminating the need for a separate command.
  • Removed Redundant Script: The "check:dependencies:all" script, which previously handled workspace-specific dependency checks, has been removed as its functionality is now integrated into the main "check:dependencies" command.
  • Updated Script Information: The descriptive information for the "check:dependencies" script in "scripts-info" has been revised to accurately reflect its new, comprehensive scope, while the entry for the removed "check:dependencies:all" has also been removed.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request simplifies the npm scripts by consolidating check:dependencies and check:dependencies:all into a single check:dependencies script. This is a good simplification. My review includes a suggestion to update the script's description to more accurately reflect that it checks for dependencies in both the root directory and the workspaces.

"branch:release": "Used to merge stage/prod branches and deploy app-interface with the latest SHA refs from same branches",
"check:dependencies": "Checks for outdated dependencies",
"check:dependencies:all": "Checks for outdated dependencies in each workspace",
"check:dependencies": "Checks for outdated dependencies in each workspace",

The description for the check:dependencies script is slightly inaccurate. The script checks for outdated dependencies in the root directory and then in each workspace. To improve clarity, the description should be updated to reflect this.

Suggested change
"check:dependencies": "Checks for outdated dependencies in each workspace",
"check:dependencies": "Checks for outdated dependencies in the root and in each workspace",
