Welcome to the Localisation Team wiki!

The localisation team coordinates efforts to maintain and improve l10n and i18n in the core tools and documentation, but also fosters collaboration across the ecosystem to give developers better crates and tools to manage l10n and i18n in their projects.

Currently, the localisation team is in a proposal phase. Thus, its final goals are not yet completely clear. We invite you to participate in the discussion to gather ideas about the goals of this team.

Subteams

These are proposed:

• Documentation: book, std docs
• Content: Web sites, blog posts, important URLO posts (with Multilingual URLO in place), etc.
• Video: Subtitling of Rust Videos
• Tools: improving l10n support for tools such as cargo, rustdoc, mdbook, clippy, etc.
• Libraries: fostering the crate ecosystem to have high quality l10n crates available for developers
• Core: implement core l10n facilities and i18n of the compiler error messages

In each subteam there will be projects for each specific language.
