Same message must show up when using the STACKIT_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_TOKEN env variable or when configuring an auth token via $HOME/.stackit/credentials.json.
Besides that the readme needs to be adjusted: https://github.com/stackitcloud/terraform-provider-stackit?tab=readme-ov-file#token-flow
