Issues

• fix(vitest): shrinker writes a '.gitignore' containing '*' into the capsule's directory, silently untracking a source tree

  bug

• fix(vitest): shrinker has no run/step/wall-clock budget — a legal capsule can make chronos shrink run for days

  bug

• fix(vitest): readCapsule size cap bypassable via FIFO (permanent hang), symlink to /dev/zero (OOM), and TOCTOU

  bug
  sx4im/chronos#40 · Filter by author sx4im opened on Oct 1, 2026

• fix(core): nested installGuards leaks the inner strict level — outer 'route' scope silently escalates to 'throw'

  bug
  sx4im/chronos#39 · Filter by author sx4im opened on Oct 1, 2026

• fix(core): asyncError is a single slot — concurrent async errors overwrite each other and one is always lost

  bug
  sx4im/chronos#38 · Filter by author sx4im opened on Oct 1, 2026

• fix(cli): chronos replay passes the raw capsule path to replayCapsule, bypassing path confinement

  bug
  sx4im/chronos#37 · Filter by author sx4im opened on Oct 1, 2026

• fix(cli): capsule path confinement is lexical only — symlinks inside an allowed root escape it

  bug
  sx4im/chronos#36 · Filter by author sx4im opened on Oct 1, 2026

• fix(inspector): isSameOriginCapsuleUrl is bypassable via backslash URLs (e.g. /\evil.com/x resolves cross-origin)

  bug
  sx4im/chronos#35 · Filter by author sx4im opened on Oct 1, 2026

• fix(core): node:crypto randomness bypasses strict guards entirely and chronos check reports a false clean

  bug
  sx4im/chronos#34 · Filter by author sx4im opened on Oct 1, 2026

• fix(core): async handler rejections escape the simulator as unhandled rejections (sync path already correct)
