aws-cloud-challenge

This repo is about a challange a made to a friend, in this challange you will find your way into aws and terraform working together. Use it to practive and improve your cloud knowledge by using IAC tools to develop and deploy stuff on aws.

This is a work in progress and none of what Im proposing here substitute official documentation or information provided by any of the companies cited here.

What you will need

  • Internet Access
  • Operating System : Windows 10, MacOS, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris.
  • AWS Account

Recommended Hard Skills

  • Basic infrastructure knowledge
    • operational systems(windows/linux)
    • what is shell and cli
    • networking(osi models, ports, tcp/ip, protocols such as HTTPS)
  • Security
  • Git
  • AWS Cloud

More Hardskills to obtain before the challenge

image

https://explore.skillbuilder.aws/learn/course/external/view/elearning/134/aws-cloud-practitioner-essentials

TL;DR Cloud Quest is more gamified and Self Paced labs are more traditional.

[Terraform]

image

Do the basic section of terraform( Fundamentals and CLI ) and understand the basic Terraform Workflow. https://learn.hashicorp.com/collections/terraform/aws-get-started

[GIT]

Check out this amazing way to learn git by playing a game! The objective here is to get to know the basics of commits, pushs and branching.

[Considerations and Recommendations]

  • Take your time;
  • Don't push yourself too hard;
  • Don't blame yourself;
  • Keep your mind open;
  • Have fun! :)

and with this you are good to go!
