This fixes part of the problem I raised in issue #2
However for me it's not working at all when trying to use
Ctrlas the modifier key, i.e.Ctrl-l.Also it just skips vim splits unlike I'm used to the same solution in tmux.
Thought anyways you may find this fix useful.
