I made it so that lock icon is shown only when carrier is not available (before pin has been sent and carrier connection has been established) - so - when user sees lock image disappear, he can press connect as everything is ready then for connecting.
By the way.. Connect menu item should be grayed (disabled) as long as carrier is not available.. I would had done this, but I don't know where the code is located which enables and disables menu items..
