what is mindof?

mindof is a twitter-like clone. it is software that i wanted to use, but could not find to run on my own server to run a “sideblog” of sorts. it’s a way for me to collect my random thoughts that can’t be wound into a full-on blog posting.

isn’t twitter good enough?

i like twitter. i like it a lot. but, i wanted to own data and for that data to be on my own server. you can update twitter with your mindof updates also.

why write your own?

because i couldn’t find one out there.

what is “mindof”?

ahem. i am not creative when it comes to names. i wanted to create something. i thought it would be cool to name my site “"mind of mookie":http://mindof.ultramookie.com”. so i figured “mindof” would be ok.

what are some features?

sure thing, it’s covered under gplv3.

i found a bug. now what?

fix it and send me the fix. or file a bug under “issues” and i’ll try to fix it. between family, work and other engagements, i get about zero time to work steadily on a project like this. if you want to help improve it, please help.
