Adds an integer
protocol(1) to the upload route wire, separate from the package version: the client sends it on every POST, the server on GET constraints and every successful answer, all in the JSON body.Missing or invalid means 1 and nothing is refused over it; each answer is read by its own number, so a deploy mixing releases mid-upload stays safe.
