### macOS Troubleshooting

If you are getting compilation errors on macOS here are some things to check:
On macOS the `zstd-sys` dependency (pulled in by VRL's stdlib) must compile C
code for WebAssembly, but the system Apple `clang` has no WebAssembly backend.
Point the build at a clang that has one, for example LLVM from Homebrew
(`brew install llvm`):

CC_wasm32_unknown_unknown="$(brew --prefix llvm)/bin/clang" \
AR_wasm32_unknown_unknown="$(brew --prefix llvm)/bin/llvm-ar" \
wasm-pack build --target web --out-dir public/pkg
```
