Burnout Clock!

The contracting equivalent of giving your dog a pill wrapped in a slice of cheese!

I built this as a little utility for myself as I'm currently going through some mental health struggles and burnout, but unfortunately still require money to eat. It's essentially a really terrible pomodoro clock that tries to give you as much recovery time as possible within the allotted maximum allowable time. For short tasks, this can be equal to or greater than a 1:1 ratio of time worked to time spent in recovery.

It's not the most efficient use of hours, but if you're struggling and just need some momentum, I hope this can help you! You can export a full time clock report upon finishing your session in JSON format for your records.

This clock also won't tell you how much time is passing until you're done, mostly because I noticed my own tendency to watch the clock instead of just getting the work done. I'm the furthest thing imaginable from a mental health professional, but ostensibly I'd imagine this might be useful for folks with ADHD as well.

If you find this helpful, maybe consider Buying me a coffee, or something.

About

A small clock I built which caters to maintaining work momentum while dealing with burnout and other mental health issues.
