Navigate logical layers of code changes, visualize relationships, and explore their blast radius. 📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe pull request adds a destructive Rust functional suite for firmware 4.0.0 and updates device-test setup. It also changes FIDO large-blob limits, X25519-to-OpenPGP key conversion, PIV management-key protection, and OATH remembered-key handling. ChangesRust device functional suite

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Close the PC/SC connection that CtapPcscDevice uses.
Card(self.reader).connection creates a connection outside the Card context manager. As a result, Card.__exit__ never calls disconnect() for it. The FIDO suite then calls self.restart(). On the private IFD path, restart() opens another Card on the same reader. That open handle can cause sharing conflicts on some PC/SC stacks. Use a with Card(...) as card: block and pass card.connection to CtapPcscDevice.

Validate the Rust 4.0.0 firmware through the canokey-usbip CCID/PC/SC catalog. Pin the SDK revision that recognizes exact 4.0.0 and add 144 destructive checks on a disposable virtual reader, including independent cryptographic verification, resident FIDO credential management, full-size largeBlobs, PIN prompts and ordinary/long-touch reset. NFC, HID, WebUSB and fault recovery remain outside acceptance.
The new tests exposed and fix three defects: protected PIV management keys did not block PUK recovery, OpenPGP X25519 imports used the wrong scalar representation, and authenticated largeBlob fragments exceeded the Rust firmware request limit. Add OATH keyring mock tests and update the coverage documentation and generated management-key help.
Review fixes generate the replacement PUK before card writes and let an explicit change-management-key --protect retry authenticate the stored key and finish PUK blocking. Ordinary stored-key resolution does not block PUK retries. A transcript regression covers the durable-key/live-PUK state. The virtual-reader guard now identifies both supported transports, and the workflow pins the reviewed USBIP adapter.
Validate the replacement key before destructive protection resolution. Legacy records with only the stored-key flag are upgraded by the authenticated replacement flow; the functional suite verifies both this migration and unchanged live PUK retries after invalid replacement input.
Validation: workspace tests (127), strict Clippy, rustfmt, strict rustdoc and generated man-page freshness pass. Linux/macOS/Windows CI and all ten firmware versions pass on the final review-fix revision. All five existing lifecycles and the expanded 144-check regression pass through the full Linux kernel USB/IP -> libccid -> PC/SC chain: https://github.com/canokeys/canokey-manager/actions/runs/37241743301.
Dependency: canokeys/canokey-usbip#4 (pinned revision; its build/socket checks pass).
SDK version recognition: canokeys/libcanokey#4 (pinned until a crates.io release).
