Mod templates

Mod templates are predefined mods built into the game that you can use as a starting point for your own creations or simply to learn how mods are structured.

You can create a new template-based mod by clicking the Create new mod button in the Mod Manager available from the main menu.

The currently available templates are:

Example building

Adds a complete new food production chain to the Folktails faction, including a new building, recipes, goods, and need. Its Blueprint files demonstrate how such content is defined in the game. The template also includes the original .blend file of the building and the Timbermesh model it is converted into for use in the game.

Translation

Creates a base for a translation mod with English localization files ready to be translated into the language of your choice.

Tails and banners

Creates a base for a mod that adds new textures for the Detailer and Banners.

Empty

Creates a minimal mod directory containing only a default manifest file - all that’s required for the game to recognize a mod.
