What was changed

  • Added a Required PR Checks job to ci.yml. It runs after the jobs that are required to merge today and fails if any of them failed or was cancelled.
  • Moved features-test from features.yml into ci.yml, since a job can only wait on jobs in its own file. Features tests now run on PRs and pushes to main, no longer on pushes to every branch.

Why?

Branch protection lists required checks by exact name, so CI changes also need a branch protection change made at the same moment. With one roll-up job, those changes only touch this repo. Branch protection will be switched to require only Required PR Checks after this merges.

Moved the features tests into here so it can be referenced by the needs: block of the required_pr_checks. One small change is that the features checks now run consistently with the rest of the checks (on main and on PRs) instead of just on push and on PRs which makes sense to me.
