KMIP 1.3

Profile Comments (Tony C)

• Tim has uploaded the response to the comments related to the profiles
• Call for motions to proceed with the 4 (four) KMIP v1.3 documents
• The TC needs to make a motion to request TC Admnin to raise a Special Majority Ballot for the KMIP v1.3 documents to move to either Committee Specification or Committee Note with non-material changes noted.

Motion to accept response to comments as non-material proposed by Tim H

• Bruce R moves, Gerry S seconds. No objections, abstentions, or comments. TC unanimously accepts the response to the OASIS TAB comments on the KMIP v1.3 Profiles and test cases documents:

Motion to proceed with two (2) KMIP v1.3 documents with non-material changes

Motion to approve the Chair requesting that TC Administration hold a Special Majority Vote to approve the two documents noted below as a Committee Specification and Committee Note (per below). This motion further states that the TC affirms that changes have been made since the last public review, that the changes made are documented in the URLs noted below, and that the TC judges these changes to be Non-Material in accordance with the definition in the OASIS TC Process (http://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process#dNonmaterialChange).

• [KMIP-Prof] - Key Management Interoperability Protocol Profiles Version 1.2. Edited by Tim Hudson and Robert Lockhart. Latest version: http://docs.oasis-open.org/kmip/profiles/v1.3/kmip-profiles-v1.3.doc Expected approval August 2016.

Next Steps (Tony C)

• Tony and Tim (editors) to process the changes as discussed and upload
• Tony will raise the request with TC Admin per the motion to proceed with the documents

• No update - All members to consider any impact and provide content for 1.4 or 2.0
• To be removed from the agenda until relevant content is brought forward.

• No update - Defer until next meeting

Summer Schedule for TC weekly call

• No clear decision on summer schedule - will review based on content brought forward at next meeting.
• Arguments exist based on kmip 1.3 approval process (no action) and questions being raised in relation to KMIP v1.4 availability
